FROM SEAN COLLINS HESS

WHY I AM RUNNING.

WHAT I WANT TO DO.

My name is Sean Collins Hess, and I’m running for the St. Johns County Airport Authority because I believe our airport can create more opportunity for the people who call this community home. In these short videos, I talk about why I’m running, the kinds of jobs we can attract, and how we can build a stronger future for our kids.

Jobs. Opportunity. Future.

WHY THE AIRPORT & JOBS MATTER

Why the airport? What kind of jobs? How do we attract them? These short videos explain what I believe we can accomplish, and why it matters for the future of St. Johns County.

Who am I running for? Your kids, my kids, and (hopefully) our grandkids.

Who am I running for?

For your kids. Your grandkids. My kids. And hopefully someday, my grandkids.

We prepare our kids for the future—but too often, when they’re ready to start careers and families, they can’t afford to come home.

I want to help change that by building more opportunities and bringing more high-quality jobs to St. Johns County.

Let’s leave our kids something to come back to.

What kind of jobs can we build? Our airport can help create jobs that give our kids and grandkids a reason to come home.

What kind of jobs can we build here for our kids and grandkids to come back to?

Modern airports support careers in aerospace, engineering, aircraft maintenance, avionics, logistics, technology, and many other skilled professions.

Our airport can help attract employers that create high-quality, long-term careers right here in St. Johns County.

The decisions we make today can help give the next generation something to come home to—and a future they can build on.

Why the airport? To attract high-paying jobs for our kids.

Every parent wants their kids to have the opportunity to build a successful life close to home.

We invest in great schools. We celebrate when our kids earn college degrees or serve our country. But too many discover they can’t find the kind of careers that allow them to come back and build a future here.

That’s why I’m running for the St. Johns County Airport Authority.

The airport is already one of our community’s strongest economic engines, supporting nearly a thousand aerospace jobs. We have an opportunity to build on that success and attract more high-quality employers that create lasting careers for the next generation.

The choices we make today will shape the job market our children graduate into tomorrow.

Let’s leave our kids something to come back to.

Why am I running? So our kids can afford to move back here.

Our kids grow up here, get a great education, and then too often have to leave to find real career opportunities.

I’m running for the St. Johns County Airport Authority because I believe the airport can help change that.

By supporting aerospace and high-skill industries around the airport, we can help create the kind of professional, long-term jobs that allow the next generation to build their future right here in St. Johns County.

The airport shouldn’t just serve the community — it should help build opportunity for it.

What types of jobs? Aerospace jobs are more than runways.

Modern airports support careers in aerospace manufacturing, aircraft maintenance, engineering, avionics, logistics, technology, business operations, and many other skilled professions. These are the kinds of careers that can help young people build successful lives right here in St. Johns County.

As a candidate for the St. Johns County Airport Authority, I believe the airport should be more than a transportation hub. It should be a driver of economic development and a place that attracts employers offering high-quality, long-term careers.

The decisions we make today will shape the opportunities available to the next generation.

Let’s leave our kids something to come back to.

How do we build jobs? It starts with a single “yes.”

Every conversation gets you one step closer to “yes.”

Economic development is about building relationships, making connections, showing up, and helping companies discover why St. Johns County is a great place to invest and grow.

The Airport Authority can’t create jobs by itself.
But it can help create the conditions that attract the companies that do.

One conversation.
One relationship.
One company.

Sometimes all it takes is one “yes” to create opportunities that allow our kids to build careers—and families—right here at home.

LET’S BUILD A STRONGER FUTURE TOGETHER.

I’d be honored to earn your support and work for an airport that creates greater opportunity for our kids.
